You could help a mother like Philomene in Rwanda to learn new skills, such as financial management. For her, this meant the opportunity to keep her family together.
Trying to pay her children’s school fees and keep her home comfortable was a struggle for Philomene – as was maintaining a happy relationship with her husband. But since Mothers’ Union helped her get a loan to buy and grow a crop called sorghum, she has set up her own business, can pay for her children’s education, and even go to school herself.
What’s more, her increased confidence has helped to create a harmonious home for the whole family.
You can help a mum discover a new way to earn money and support her family.
